Advocacy Work
San Francisco Veterans Affairs Commission
As the youngest African American male veteran appointed to the San Francisco Veterans Affairs Commission, Prince brings a fresh perspective and a strong voice to critical issues affecting the veteran community. His work on the Commission focuses on three core areas: employment, healthcare, and housing — the pillars of a stable life for every veteran.
Prince has worked to advise city leadership on creating pathways for veterans to secure meaningful careers after service, while also advocating for expanded healthcare access that includes mental health support. Recognizing the growing housing challenges in San Francisco, he continues to push for initiatives that prevent homelessness among veterans and provide stable, affordable housing options.
His role on the Commission is not symbolic — it is active, hands-on leadership aimed at ensuring that veterans’ sacrifices are honored with real opportunities and support.

One Vet, One Voice
Prince’s contributions to One Vet, One Voice reflected his belief that advocacy was most powerful when it united diverse veteran communities under a single mission. During his tenure with the organization, which concluded in 2023, he collaborated with fellow leaders to amplify the concerns of veterans, share resources, and advance policies that improved quality of life.
His work with One Vet, One Voice included creating platforms for veteran stories, driving public awareness campaigns, and ensuring that marginalized groups within the veteran community received equal representation. Notably, his advocacy helped secure the successful passage of key legislation, including complimentary access to parks and recreational facilities for veterans within the City and County of San Francisco, as well as below-market-rate housing allocations designated for veterans.
By working collectively, Prince helped ensure that no veteran was left behind and that every voice contributed to shaping a stronger, more supportive future.
